Dear Sir or Madam,

hereby we inform you about changes and modifications made to the TR40 ring saw.

All ring saws with production date ≥ 08/2017 contain the following changes.

If your customers wish to convert their existing ring saw, please let us know so that we can organize the conversion.

The updated parts list as well as the manual of the TR40 are now available.

1   Modification speed

The speed of the ring saw blade was reduced from 2400 rpm to 2000 rpm. By reducing the rotational speed, an increase in the torque has been achieved, whereby the saw cuts more powerfully and switches off less frequently during the sawing process. Especially in the case of deep cuts, the increase in the torque has a positive effect.

2   Drive wheel / Fastening drive wheel

In order to improve the fixation of the drive wheel, the following components have been changed:

Denomination Position Old article number New article number
Drive wheel 330 TR40214  TR40214-1
Spindle 320 TR40206C TR40206-1
Hexagon Head Screw 755 TR40276 TS40276
Pressure Disk 338 removed

To secure the drive wheel, a hexagon head screw wrench size 17 with a left-hand thread is used now. For tightening and loosening the hexagon screw, the TR40 is fitted with a combination spanner and face spanner.

It is also possible to change the saw blade without having to remove the drive wheel for this purpose.

The old components are available until further notice and can be used for the old state of the ring saw.
If necessary, a conversion of the ring saw will be necessary in the future due to the availability of spare parts.

Please note the changed spare parts list.

3   Clamping eccentric shaft / Support rollers

The clamping of the eccentric shaft, on which the support roller is mounted, is now made with the aid of a hexagon head screw wrench size 17.

The new design allows a secure clamping of the eccentric shaft. Furthermore, no components protrude beyond the contour of the gear housing.

Please note:

The support rollers must only receive light contact with the saw blade.

If the support rollers are applied too strongly to the saw blade, damage to the saw blade and the ring saw can occur.

4   Improved water supply

A part of the cooling water is now fed directly to the drive wheel, which results in better rinsing of the rollers and better distribution of the water.

The previous supply of water to the saw blade is effected only via the guide plate. As a result, it is possible that the cutting is carried out dry for a short time at the start of the sawing operation, resulting in dust development.

5   Splash guard adapted

The splash guard (pos. 435) has been optimized so that it can now be folded back completely. As a result, a greater cutting depth can be achieved during the vertical cut under the ceiling and the cut can be led up to the ceiling.

Please note the changed spare parts list.

With best regards
